Robert G. Williams, CRB, President                          Principal Broker

Email: Robert@rRealEstateHawaii.com

Born in Seattle, Washington, Robert is a graduate of the University of Washington with a BA in Business Administration, which he has certainly put to good use. He first came to the Big Island in the mid 70’s and immediately fell in love with the beauty of the island and it’s people.

He began a nursery and landscaping business, that took his talents to many of the islands in the Hawaiian chain. An entrepreneur in his own right, he started one of the first palm nurseries on the island and served as an active member of the International Palm Society. A love that sticks with him today, though he claims his Latin isn’t quite as sharp as it used to be he could stil dazzle the average guy with the botanical names of most palms on the island.

In 1981 an interest sparked for him in real estate. Robert was top sales agent before starting Orchid Isle Properties in 1988. He quickly rose to the position of a top producer in all of East Hawaii and his firm has consistently ranked as the #1 company in East Hawaii for a number of years. Despite his modesty about his achievements, C. Brewer & Company, Ltd. (Hawaii’s oldest corporations) saw in him the experience, commitment and integrity they needed to market their lands. They contracted him as their exclusive listing broker in 1993 and added their properties on Maui in 1998.

Robert’s accomplishments are lengthy, he served on the Governor of Hawaii’s Economic Revitalization Task Force, has been the recipient of Prudential’s coveted Chairman’s Circle 8 times, placing him in the top 1% of Prudential’s 50,000 agents. In 2001 he was honored with Prudential Real Estate Affiliates “Legend Award”. That same year he won the “Cornerstone Award” for Operational Excellence. Again in 2004 he earned the "Core Values Award". He is also a 3 time winner of the Ho’oula Award (Hawaii’s Fastest fifty growing companies). Robert also captured the Roundtable Award 2005, having lead the company to rank as one of the top 3 companies in the entire Western Region, competition was comprised of 445 PREA offices and based on the number of transactions closed for the year. Additionally to his credit he was President of the Hawaii Island Board of Realtors in 1993 (HIBR), Realtor of the Year 1994, Director of HIBR for six years and Trustee of RPAC for four years. Most recently, he has lead the company to be ranked as "The 2007 Number One Real Estate Company" in East Hawaii. From Honoka`a to Volcano Prudential Orchid Isle Properties had the highest total sales volume according to Hawaii Information Service (our mls).

He is an active community member and is currently serving as President of the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce and is also a member of both the Japanese and Portuguese Chambers of Commerce. Robert is actively involved in development and has a number of successful projects under his belt and many more in progress. He resides with his wife, Syleste, along the Hamakua Coast and spends much of his free time landscaping his own 4.5 acres. He is an avid golfer and he says he enjoys the beauty of Hawaii’s courses as much as the game itself. In his true humble style, when asked to what he contributes his success, he will tell you that it is “top-notch sales agents, desirable inventory and a good support team”. Robert has proven repeatedly that his word is as good as gold, someone you can trust with a handshake.

Her aptitude, dedication and knowledge of Big Island real estate again placed her as a top-producing agent with Prudential Orchid Isle Properties. Denise has not only been the Top Producer for 4 consecutive years, but has also been the recipient of the "Chairman's Circle Award" 2003 & 2004, 2005 & 2006, placing her in the top 3% of Prudential's 50,000 agents nation-wide. In between her long hours of real estate, Denise is a committed runner. She resides with her husband Miles and their children, who participate in assisting Denise in both of her endeavors.

Phyllis M Stine, Realtor-Associate Return to REALTOR page

Phyllis@RealEstateHawaii.com

Being the grand-daughter of an accomplished agriculture professor in Jefferson City, Missouri, Phyllis was introduced to farming and its’ science at a very early age.  Professor Hammons showed goal setting through example by accomplishing two great objectives; to create a polka dot pig and to get an office in the State Capitol Building (not an easy task during segregation times)

Born in New Port Rhode Island, raised in Missouri, Michigan and California, Phyllis wondered why people left their homes and moved to various places in our great country.  After raising two sons and working in the Radiology field for almost 20 years she set a goal to travel in her Ford Ranger, Jessie, along the blue highways and visit all 50 states.  In July 1988, a hospital position in Kahuku brought her to the North Shore of O’ahu. Once here, the 50th state of Hawai’i never let her go.

Through~out her life ambition has been no stranger.  She rode her bicycle from San Pedro to San Diego to celebrate another personal accomplishment, she broke the Master’s Power lifting record for dead lift at the Hawai’i State contest in 1990 at Turtle Bay, and lifted over  330 at the Master’s National the very next year in So. California.  Through the years she has worked with women wishing to recover from substance abuse and does so to this day. Besides tending to the care of the Macadamia nuts on her farm, her objective is to raise rare palms, convert at least half of the trees to organic and grow Cacao. Her latest target is to better her 2006 Honolulu Marathon time of 7:18 to 6:30 in 2007.

When the opportunity arose to enter the real estate profession, she felt a calling.  Her choice proved to be a good one, as her first year in real estate she was a multi-million dollar producer.

Her success is no mystery.  “I Love working with people”, and from what we see, it’s obvious that they love working with her too!

So why not let this down to earth professional assist you in achieving all your real estate goals and help make your dreams come true.

A native Californian born in North Hollywood, Syleste always knew that Hawaii was her true home. Her aunt established residence in the islands in the 1930's and the connection was always in her heart. Of her first visit to the islands in the 1960's she said "I remember distinctly stepping off the plane and that first breath of the air, I felt Iike I had come home".

While in high school in Southern California, she ventured into a modeling career and eventually became involved in the film and television industry. She quit her profession when she married a member of the then popular singing group "The Association". She spent several years touring with the band and enjoying the many beautiful towns and cities across the nation.

After her daughter was born, she worked part-time in feature film promotions. As her daughter grew older she wanted to work from home and began her own company creating interior accent pieces and eventually was lead into interior decorating. Once her child hit middle school, she obtained a Series Seven license (stockbroker) and became responsible for the set-up of a newly constructed securities office in a major financial center and was the branch manager's right hand.

After her family moved to Hilo in the early 1980's, she went on board with a local office of a Securities firm. Next she took a step into the radio industry where she sold advertising, wrote and produce radio spots and had a Saturday Morning radio show. In 1989, she won The National Exchange Clubs Project of the Year award for her employer for the Prevention of Child Abuse campaign she conceived and implemented.

With a broad background in the entertainment field, it was a natural step into her position with Prudential Orchid Isle Properties as Director of Marketing.Syleste was actively involved with the Hawaii Island Board of Realtors, she was awarded Realtor-Associate of the Year in 1995 for her community participation and for regenerating the dwindling interest in the boards membership meetings. Her ideas created record breaking attendance among board members. In 1997, she won Prudential's nation-wide "Ad Focus" award for the best marketing idea and best use of marketing dollars.

In 2002, Syleste co-chaired a  fundraiser for the Pacific Tsunami Museum in Hilo, rasing over $36,000 for the museum. She served on the Board of Directors for Destination Hilo 2005 & 2006 and chaired the Marketing Committee 2006/2007. She conceived a new look for their logo and developed the concept and was the map coordinator for a self guided "Historic Site Map" of Hilo. Currently she is serving on the Website Committe for the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce. An artisan of many mediums, she likens marketing to that of creating a quilt, "there are a number of small steps that comprise the final product".
